Rooted’s Blended Preschool 3’s/4’s Program

At Rooted Christian Academy, we provide a rich and engaging classroom environment filled with educational materials that inspire creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning while building a strong foundation for future academic success. Teachers thoughtfully plan monthly themes that integrate hands-on learning experiences, art projects, music, literature, Bible lessons, and interactive activities designed to make learning meaningful and fun. With small class sizes, children receive individualized attention and encouragement as they grow in confidence and develop important social-emotional skills alongside their classmates.

For our 3’s age group at Rooted Christian Academy, children are introduced to letters, letter sounds, and basic two-dimensional shapes in a fun and engaging learning environment. Throughout the school year, students practice recognizing their names, identifying colors, and developing early counting skills through circle time, calendar activities, and hands-on learning experiences. Students are given daily opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills while also developing important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, using kind manners, and communicating respectfully with teachers and classmates.
This first preschool experience provides a strong foundation for future learning by helping children become familiar with classroom routines, school expectations, and group learning. As they grow in independence and confidence, students are nurtured in a welcoming, faith-centered environment where they feel safe, valued, and loved.

In our 4’s age group at Rooted Christian Academy, Students work towards recognizing and identifying uppercase and lowercase letters and their corresponding sounds, writing and spelling their first names, and building early reading readiness through introductory sight words. They also develop essential kindergarten-preparation skills, including proper pencil grip, shape recognition, correct scissor use, and the fine motor coordination needed for tracing and cutting activities. In mathematics, children build a strong foundation through number recognition (0–20), counting, patterning, and skip counting. Throughout the year, Rooted Christian Academy strives to provide a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures each child’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth in a Christ-centered environment.
